For many years, my main series of collection was the Master of Mosquiton OVA. I was enamored with this series, and actually managed to collect a fairly large amount of cels from it. Eventually however the amount of quality cels from it was reduced to a trickle and living on my own dampened my desire to pursue expensive pieces of plastic.
A couple years after my interest waned, I was casually browsing eBay and came across a Mosquiton OVA cel. It was being sold very cheaply and I figured it was another low quality piece that I wouldn't have much interest in. I clicked on the auction anyway, and suddenly realized there was something very odd about this cel.
Namely, at no point during the scene where Mosquiton is flying with Inaho do they EVER look happy. In addition, she was clinging to him from the bottom, not on his side. It was then that it hit me-- this was a cel from the closing credits! I had never before in all my time collecting the series seen a cel from the closing credits. I quickly placed a bid and crossed my fingers that nobody would realize what a special cel this was (the seller certainly didn't).
No one did. ;)
